Rapid cultivation of Toona sinensis buds in Wawu

1. Select the trimming belt. After the buds of Toona sinensis in Wawu have fallen leaves, branches with a diameter of 2-3 cm are selected from the 2-3-year-old Toona sinensis tree, cut into small pieces of about 25 cm, and then the branches of 8- 10 are tied together.

2. Prepare enough containers. The container for chips can be waste cans, shallow porcelain cans, plastic cans, etc. For large-scale cultivation, wooden boxes with width of 25 cm and unlimited length can be customized with wooden boards. In order to prevent leakage, it should be lined with a soft plastic film.

3. Prepare fertilizer solution. The nutrition of branches is limited. In order to obtain higher yield, it is necessary to supplement certain nutrition with nutrient solution. The preparation method of nutrient solution is to add 0.05% foliar treasure and 0.5% rare earth fertilizer to clean water.

4. Management methods. Put the prepared nutrient solution into a container, and the quantity should be 2/3 of the volume, then insert the bundled branches into the container in the order of bud upward, and finally move them into a greenhouse for cultivation. Nutrient solution should be supplemented every 4 ~ 6 days in the first month, and every 2 ~ 3 days thereafter. The temperature in the shed is controlled at 20℃ ~ 25℃ during the day and 9℃ ~ 15℃ at night. Generally, Toona sinensis cuttings can germinate after 20 days and can be picked after 25 ~ 30 days.
