The practice of plum soup

Sour plum soup is a traditional drink for relieving summer heat in old Beijing. It is a rare healthy drink in hot summer.

Recently, Mr. Mai and Miss Mi fell in love with this sour and sweet drink. Mother Mi bought raw materials such as ebony and made it at home. Children should not eat raw and cold food. The prepared sour plum soup does not add ice, and after cooling, it is directly given to two cute babies. Homemade sour plum soup

Ingredients: ebony, hawthorn, licorice (the ratio is about 3: 2: 1), sweet-scented osmanthus and rock sugar.

1. Wash all materials with clear water for later use (except osmanthus fragrans), put the washed materials into gauze bags and tie them tightly;

2. Soak the material bag in the prepared clear water (cold water) for 60 minutes;

3. Boil the soaked water together with the bag with high fire, turn to low heat and cook for another 40 minutes, then add a proper amount of rock sugar, and turn off the fire after the rock sugar is completely melted;

4. Cool the cooked sour plum soup and ice it;

5. When drinking, sprinkle osmanthus flowers and add ice cubes, which is sweet and sour, cool and refreshing!

Cooking instructions:

1. Sour plum soup contains heavy acidic substances, so don't cook or store it in a metal pot. It is best to use a earthen pot or a glass bottle.

2. Because of the convergence of ebony, women are not suitable for drinking before and during menstruation, because it is not conducive to the excretion of menstrual blood and is easy to cause irregular menstruation. In addition, people with poor spleen and stomach and easy diarrhea should not drink sour plum soup excessively;

You can't finish the prepared sour plum soup at one time, so you can put it in the refrigerator for a few days. However, at room temperature, sour plum soup is easy to deteriorate. If you see thin bubbles floating on the surface, it means it has gone bad and you can't drink any more.
