The main idea of Buddhism

* * * Ten cases, seven cases of Mahayana, two cases of Hinayana, one case of each size.

Seven cases of Mahayana:

1, dharma: it is mainly developed by inheriting the theory of ancient Indian yoga school. China is the source of Mahayana initiated by Tang Priest and established according to the teachings of Maitreya Bodhisattva.

2. Three theories: named after Zhong Lun, Bai Lun and Twelve-person Theory. It also takes "the emptiness of all laws" as the theoretical core, so it is also called "the Sect of Nature" and "the Sect of Law".

3. Tiantai: named after Zhiyi, the main pioneer of this Sect who lives in Tiantai Mountain, it is called "Taizong" for short. This Sect is based on Hokkekyo, so it is also called "Fahua Sect". In addition, this sect is also called "Guanzong" because it pays attention to the method of observing Buddhism and has a complete theoretical system. Tiantai Sect inherited the Prajnaparamita Sect from India's Dragon Tree Bodhisattva, and regarded Dragon Tree as its ancestor.

4. Hua Yan: Therefore, it is a classic based on Hua Yan Jing, hence the name. In addition, this sect takes "the origin of legalism" as its theoretical core, so it is also called "the sect of legalism". In addition, the actual founder of this sect was once honored by Wu Zetian as "the Lord of sages", so it was also called "the first school of sages". "Flower face" means "flower ornament" in Sanskrit, which refers to a wreath or crown.

5. Zen: named after advocating special meditation as a way of liberation. He also calls himself "Bufo Heart Seal" and "Teach others" in order to thoroughly see the origin of the heart, so he is also called "Buddha School".

6. Cleanliness: Specializing in the pure land of western Amitabha Buddha, hence the name "Lianzong", focusing on other abilities.

7. Mantra: Also known as "Tantric Sect" and "Yoga Tantric Sect". "Secret" refers to mysterious teaching methods and principles, which cannot be expressed by ordinary words and general teaching methods. Because truth is not deduced by logical thinking, the teachings revealed by Buddha's language must be different from his own enlightenment.

Two cases of Hinayana Buddhism:

1, Wanzai: It was named after the ancient Indian masters studied and spread the theory of Wanzai.

2. Shicheng: Also known as Shicheng School. It got its name after learning and spreading the realism written by ancient Indian princes.
