The Origin of Acupuncture and Moxibustion

Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy was first seen in the book "Huangdi Neijing", which came out in the Warring States period. The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine (HUNDI NEIJING), which says: "When the cold is hidden and full of disease, its treatment should be moxibustion", refers to the art of moxibustion, in which the shape of nine needles is described in detail, and the theory and techniques of acupuncture are extensively documented. For more than two thousand years, acupuncture has been popular in China and spread to the world. And acupuncture appeared even earlier.

In ancient times, people were accidentally hit by some sharp and hard objects, such as stones, thorns, etc. on the surface of the body of a certain part of the phenomenon, there will be an unexpected pain was alleviated. Ancient people began to consciously use some sharp stones to stab some parts of the body or artificially puncture the body to make it bleed, in order to alleviate the pain.
