What is Yunnan Touch Festival?

DOG Festival in Yunnan is a rumor circulating among the people, claiming that there is a traditional celebration called "DOG Festival" in Ejina Town, Shuangbai County, Yunnan Yi Autonomous Region.

This rumor claims that every year on July 14, 15 and 16 of the lunar calendar, during the traditional Ghost Festival, men and women who come to the town should observe the "Milk Touch Festival" as long as they appear. Men should happily touch women's milk, and women should happily accept being touched. Men are lucky to be touched by milk, and women are lucky to be touched by milk.

However, the local government has pointed out that the ghost festival in the rumor of "Touch Milk Festival" is nonsense. In fact, the calendar used by the Yi people is October calendar. There is no such thing as Ghost Festival in traditional festivals, and the Yi people are very taboo about mentioning ghosts.

Therefore, the "Milk Touch Festival" is not a real festival or traditional custom of Yunnan or Yi people. This concept may have been created by some people out of thin air.
