The so-called "Nijiji-ju" (comic-strip play, slide show) is a form of performance in which children are shown slides and stories are told at the same time, and it was widely developed in Japan in the early Showa period, when televisions were not yet popular. As the name suggests, "Digital Shiji-ju" is an attempt to bring this traditional art to television.
The anime Dark Shibaiju features a cast of actors, including 47-year-old Kanji Tsuda[1] and young actors Ryoichi Murai, Ryo Hirano, and Keisuke Ueda, among others, as well as an ED song, "Odd Shibai Eumaki," which was written by popular V-family writers, "てにをは" and "AVTechNO! AVTechNO!", the Showa nostalgia style image with cutting-edge electronic sound gives the work a unique flavor.
