What are the taboos of China customs?

Informality is sometimes regarded as a valuable quality.

But in official activities and social occasions, we should pay special attention to details. Casual and informal manners will affect the image of etiquette.

Avoid "making noise". In public places, it is forbidden to make or "make" some noises due to body movements. It is impolite to make a thump when walking. The lady in high heels makes a "click, click" sound on the floor, and she makes a "crunch, crunch" sound when sitting in a chair and shaking it. There are some abnormal noises in the body, such as coughing, sneezing, burping and yawning. Cover your face sideways. Knocking on the table and pulling your knuckles will also be boring.

Avoid being unsanitary. Public places should observe public health, and do not spit, litter or throw cigarette butts. Don't eat food with strong pungent smell before attending formal activities, so as to avoid bad breath in your mouth. If you have a cold or other infectious diseases, try not to participate in public activities.

Avoid influencing others. It is wise to act in a way that does not affect others. Laughter loudly, disturb neighbors, burst into laughter and cheer, all of which should be avoided. In the collective office, when making phone calls, talking to people and receiving guests, try to keep your voice down and whisper in order not to affect others. Try not to make any noise when dealing with internal affairs.
