The whole process of making Dongba paper
The whole process of making Dongba paper is as follows:
1, the treatment of plant leaves: the leaves of the plants picked are cleaned and dried for spare. It should be noted here that the choice of plant leaves is very important, you should choose natural plants that grow on the original, so that the paper produced will have better quality and characteristics.
2, cooking pulp: dry plant leaves into a copper pot, add the right amount of water, stir well with a wooden stick, and then boil for about 30 minutes. This process requires constant stirring so that the pulp does not bottom out or mush into chunks.
3, filter pulp: pour the boiled pulp into a cloth bag, gently squeeze with your hand to let the excess water out. Then pour the pulp into a large pot, add a pure water, mix well with your hands.
4, the production of paper: a wooden frame on a flat tabletop, the fine linen spread on the frame. Then pour the pulp into the wooden frame and gently stir it with a wooden stick so that the pulp is evenly distributed throughout the frame. The frame was then left to dry until the paper was completely dry.
5. Dyeing: Put the dried paper into persimmon juice, blueberry juice, charcoal powder and other natural dyes to soak. This process requires constant turning of the paper to ensure that the dye penetrates the paper evenly.
6. Drying: The dyed paper is left to dry until it is completely dry.
