Idiomatic Stories Paradoxical Commentary

One lesson felt tight at the beginning and loose at the end.

After revising the lesson plan over and over again, I should say that the idea of the whole lesson is still relatively clear. I began by asking the students to say what you know about idiomatic stories to introduce the new lesson, and then let the students learn the vocabulary on their own and read the text aloud freely. In the step of checking the results of self-study, when students can not accurately read "poke", not timely corrected until the students read accurately. This resulted in the next correction not being corrected immediately.

Understanding the meaning of the words "shield" and "spear", the students can not immediately explain out, after guidance, let the students recall what they have seen on TV in order to say is an ancient weapon of defense and attack. After a few teachers pointed out that the book should be combined with the picture to understand, so that more intuitive image, students easy to understand.

Finally, when I let the students tell the moral of the story, I just repeatedly emphasized that the shield is strong and the spear is sharp. Here should let the students themselves to analyze the words of the Chu people, if the shield is strong that the spear is not sharp, if the spear is sharp that the shield is not strong. This way students will be more able to understand what the story is warning us. Another thing is that I show on the blackboard: this idiom is used to describe a person who contradicts each other in what he says and what he does. In fact, here the students just need to say their own understanding is good, do not need to be hard and fast. Otherwise stifle the students' individuality.
