In a narrow sense, it refers to a method of catching crucian carp with short rod and thin line in modern pond fishing. Therefore, "Taiwan fishing" can basically be used with "modern fishing". But there are also some differences. First of all, it is limited to freshwater fishing. Second, only in Chinese mainland; Third, it will gradually fade away. If Taiwan Province and fishing method are better than when they were first introduced, we will be crowned as the new fishing method. How many kinds of fishing methods do we need? Ironically, if the rules of the game are changed, such as participating in international competitions, the word "competitive fishing" will be shameful. With the passage of time, the defects of "traditional fishing" and "Taiwan Province fishing" have gradually emerged. Technology is constantly developing, and two different technologies are improved by learning from each other. The narrow sense of "traditional fishing" is gradually replaced by "long pole and short line", and the narrow sense of "Taiwan Province fishing" is gradually replaced by the new words "hanging fishing" and "competitive fishing". "Hanging fishing" generally appears in articles about leisure fishing; "Competitive fishing" is more common in the occasion of talking about competitions. Because the words "Taiwan fishing", "hanging fishing" and "competitive fishing" are not enough, I think it is more appropriate to use the word "air-dried fresh". In fact, there are many terms in various fishing methods, such as: sea pole fishing, hand pole fishing, long pole fishing, short pole fishing, short line fishing, medium and long line fishing, straight pole fishing, ultra-long line fishing, star drift fishing, standard fishing, heavy drop fishing, light drop fishing, ultra-light drop fishing, single hook fishing, double hook fishing, string hook fishing, meat bait fishing, vegetarian bait fishing and so on. A variety of fishing methods can be combined to form a variety of fishing methods, but the real representativeness is limited. Because hand fishing can not be separated from the three basic fishing tools, such as rod, line and hook, it is scientific and accurate to name the fishing method with them. Therefore, I think there should be two basic fishing methods for hand fishing at present, namely "single hook with long pole and short line" and "double hook with even pole line". Referred to as "long pole short line" and "straight pole line" fishing method. I think it is necessary to use "long pole and short line" and "straight pole line" to replace the meanings of specific fishing methods in "traditional fishing method", "platform fishing method", "hanging fishing method" and "competitive fishing method", because there is no ambiguity in the use of words. No matter how the fishing groups are combined, the fixed characteristics of the fishing line will not change, which is very inclusive. In this way, "traditional fishing method" includes "long rod short line single hook fishing" and "straight rod line single hook fishing", which are referred to as "old long rod short line" and "old straight rod line" for short; Modern fishing method also includes "single hook fishing with long pole and short line" and "double hook fishing with straight line", which are referred to as "new long pole and short line" and "new straight line" for short. They adapt to different water conditions and fish conditions, and there is no distinction between high and low. Therefore, I think it is necessary to formulate new fishery laws and regulations to change the disadvantages of current fishery competition. Such as: Rules for Short-term Single Hook Fishing Competition with Long Pole and Rules for Double Hook Fishing Competition with Straight Pole. So that all kinds of fishing methods can be paid attention to, and high-level competitions must use two different rules of the game to promote the overall improvement of fishermen's skills and make fishing activities develop in a healthier and more natural direction.
