Today, with the continuous strengthening of educational informationization and scientific research to promote teaching, the construction of secondary vocational school libraries has been put on the agenda. First, the common problems in secondary vocational school libraries

1. Leaders pay insufficient attention.

Some school leaders don't know enough about the importance of libraries, and they don't pay enough attention to the construction and development of libraries. They only pay attention to the quality of teaching, but ignore the important role of books and materials in improving the quality of education and teaching and the comprehensive quality of students. They didn't put the library work on the important agenda, failed to reflect the proper position and function of the library, and greatly restricted the construction and development of the library.

2. Lack of funds for books, insufficient sources of books and unreasonable collection structure.

The original books are seriously damaged, the contents are outdated, the books are short of funds, and there are few new books, which leads to the unreasonable collection structure and restricts the function of books.

3. Library staff have low cultural quality and generally lack computer and network knowledge.

Some of them are still in the stage of traditional manual work, and computer management has not yet been realized. In some libraries with better conditions, although there are computers, there is a general lack of computer talents. At the same time, it is a common phenomenon that there are few business backbones in school libraries. Most of the staff are engaged in book management from other industries, without professional training and unfamiliar with book management.

4. Backward management.

Because quite a few school leaders don't pay attention to the library, they regard the library as a "retirement station" and often arrange frail teachers to work in the library, which leads to the low overall working ability of librarians. Librarians are not active in their work and are passively waiting for teachers and students to borrow books. Many library books management rules and regulations are not perfect, some have rules and regulations, but they are not implemented seriously, and books are not managed according to regulations, which is subjective and arbitrary.

5. The means of information resources development and utilization are backward.

Computer is a modern technical means to efficiently develop and utilize literature information resources. However, at present, only a few schools use computers to develop and use literature information materials, while most school libraries still use manual methods to process and serve information. Although some libraries are equipped with computers, they are only used to cope with the inspection of hardware facilities by superiors, but they are not really used. Some librarians' computer application ability is not high, just stay in simple operation, and their ability to develop information resources through the network is limited. The level of computer-aided book management needs to be improved. If this situation does not change, it will hinder the connection of campus network, local area network and Internet, not to mention the modernization of library information management.

Two, strengthen and improve the management of secondary vocational school library countermeasures

1. Re-examine the role and function of books and strive for the attention of leaders.

Under the background of promoting the informatization of quality education in an all-round way, the library has become a carrier of quality education, a place for lifelong learning and social learning, and has increasingly played its advantages as a knowledge distribution center. The school library is not only the education and teaching literature resource center, information exchange center and education and scientific research service center, but also the main place for students' extracurricular study and teachers' continuing education. Schools should focus on building a good library, cultivate students' awareness of using the library, teach them the methods of information retrieval, and cultivate their ability to collect, analyze, process and use information, which is the key for students to learn to learn in the information society. Therefore, school leaders should pay full attention to the library work, truly realize that the library is the basic condition and equipment that a school must have to run well, so as to increase the investment in the school library, allocate a certain amount of funds every year, ensure the number of books and periodicals in the library, continuously expand the collection, and strive to serve teaching and scientific research.

2. Libraries should pay attention to the renewal of old books.

When weeding out the old books, we must pay attention to maintaining the systematic integrity and realistic scientific nature of the books. The development of books in each period has historical inheritance. To ensure the systematic integrity of library collection, we must preserve the classic and representative works of various periods and completely preserve the historical track of social progress and scientific development. Ensure that the collection of books effectively reflects the latest knowledge and scientific and technological achievements, abandon outdated content and academic views, enhance the vitality and utilization of the collection of books, and save the collection space. Each library should carry out the work of eliminating old books according to its own actual situation and establish a targeted, systematic, complete and scientific collection system. With the rapid development of science and technology, the rapid updating of knowledge, the sharp increase in the number of books published, the soaring price of books and the limited funds for books, it is an inevitable trend for the development of school libraries to adhere to the principles of various books, adopting special collections, ensuring key points and taking care of the general.

3. Strengthen teachers and students' understanding of the library.

At the beginning of the new semester, organize freshmen to visit the library to enhance their awareness of using the library to learn; Hold a special lecture on how to use and utilize the library, introduce the relevant rules and regulations of the library and the different functions and usage methods of different kinds of books, so that freshmen can quickly understand the library system, master the skills of using the library, and make the library an important place for their study as soon as possible. The library should introduce new books to teachers and students, arouse everyone's interest, and introduce the latest book information to teachers and students with the fastest speed and the most widely contacted media (such as campus network and blackboard newspaper), so that they can know the library information in time.

4. Improve the management level of the library

Strengthen the scientific management of the library. Standardize and strictly implement various rules and regulations, reasonably arrange the opening hours, arrange the library opening after school and holidays as far as possible, meet the borrowing needs of teachers and students, and improve the utilization rate of book resources and the circulation rate of books.

Replace the traditional manual service mode with computer. The library can first establish a book management system, equipped with book purchasing, cataloging, circulation, management and retrieval subsystems, strengthen the construction of bibliographic database, ensure the standardization of database, and strive to realize the automatic management of all aspects of library work. Establish an electronic reading room and a multimedia audio-visual room, so that students can access the network system through CDs and networks, and retrieve major electronic books and special materials.

5. Strengthen the ideological education and professional study of librarians.

It is necessary to strengthen the training of school librarians and constantly improve their political quality and professional level. On the one hand, we should strengthen the study of political theory; On the other hand, we should master the basic skills of library management, learn the means of scientific management, master modern management tools and give full play to the role of library information center.
