Disadvantages of traditional pid control
PID control is reliable and stable, and the control process can be 100% repeated. Can be applied to any industrial field.
On the basis of analyzing the process system, the PID control is improved, and the fuzzy control is designed to avoid the shortcomings of PID control such as large overshoot and residue. However, when the process system fails, fuzzy control is prone to misoperation, such as pump and valve stuck, fluid leakage and sensor failure.
Adaptive control, adaptive control is generally accomplished through independent learning of process systems. Its advantages and disadvantages are similar to those of fuzzy control.
Fuzzy control and adaptive control can not be used in high-security environments, such as nuclear power plants, chemical and petrochemical explosive places.
