Why is the national flower of Japan cherry blossom?

In ancient Japan, cherry blossoms were actually a kind of agricultural flowers, just like common rape flowers in China, which grew in deep mountains or roadside fields. I don't know when, from slaves to generals, they were transplanted into the courtyard of the Japanese royal family or nobles in the Middle Ages, and gradually imprinted on people's hearts as a symbol of beauty.

However, after the Meiji Restoration more than 100 years ago, Sakura was given a new mission, that is, to represent the Japanese army and become the military flower of the imperial army. It is for this reason that many Japanese people stopped seeing cherry blossoms for a long time after the end of World War II.

Cherry blossoms have become a part of Japanese life. Cherry blossoms can be seen everywhere in front of the house, by the river, in the countryside, in the city. In many archaeological and exquisite materials, we can see that the real origin of cherry blossoms is Jeju Island in South Korea or Liaodong Peninsula in China. However, this scientific view was also spurned by fanatical Japanese militarists because of the nobility of cherry blossoms.
