Shandong cultural heritage is introduced as follows.
One, the Great Wall of Qi
The Great Wall of Qi was inscribed on the list of World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. The Great Wall of Qi was built in the Spring and Autumn period, completed in the Warring States period, took more than 170 years to build, so far has a history of more than 2600 years.
The Qi Great Wall starts from the north of Guangli Village, Xiaoli Town, Changqing District, Jinan City, and enters the sea at East Yujiahezhuang, Huangdao District, Qingdao City, with a total length of more than 1,200 miles, traversing the land of Qilu, and it is the earliest ancient Great Wall in China that exists in a better preservation condition with accurate relics to be examined, and it is regarded as the father of the Great Wall.
Two, Confucius Temple, Confucius Mansion and Confucius Forest
The Confucius Temple, Confucius Mansion and Confucius Forest were approved by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for inclusion in the World Heritage List in 1994. The city of Qufu, is the only and largest complex in China that combines a residence dedicated to the direct descendants of Confucius and a cemetery for Confucius and his descendants.Confucius (551-419 BC) was the founder of Confucianism in China.
The year after his death, his residence was converted into a Confucian temple, which is worshipped annually. Successive emperors after the Han Dynasty advocated honoring Confucius by reading the scriptures, and Confucius was constantly posthumously honored with additional titles, while expanding his shrine, and the size of the Temple of Confucius grew larger and larger.
Three, the Grand Canal
The Grand Canal was approved for inclusion in the World Heritage List at the 38th World Heritage Conference in Doha in 2014. The Shandong section of the Grand Canal, starting from Dawangmiao Lock at the border between Shandong and Jiangsu provinces in the south and ending at the third store in Dezhou DeCheng District in the north, flows through 16 counties (cities and districts) in 5 cities of Shandong Province, namely Zaozhuang, Jining, Tai'an, Liaocheng and Dezhou, with a total length of 643 kilometers. The Shandong section of the Grand Canal is historically the most difficult navigational conditions, maintenance and protection of the most complex and ingenious engineering technology of the famous section of the river.
Four, Yantai paper-cutting
In 2009, Yantai paper-cutting, as a part of China's paper-cutting, was selected as part of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage list. Yantai paper-cutting is an ancient traditional folk art with rich and varied themes. Fifth, Gaomi paper-cutting
In 2009, Gaomi paper-cutting, as part of the Chinese paper-cutting, was selected as part of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Gaomi paper-cutting, also a representative of the local paper-cutting art in Shandong Province, is one of the three masters of traditional folk art in Gaomi City, Shandong Province, and its circulation has a close relationship with the festival customs in rural Gaomi.
Gaomi paper-cutting is rich in a wide range of subjects, flowers, plants, insects and fish, birds and animals and people can be cut. Most of the things cut from folklore, myths and opera stories, strong symbolism, simple and exaggerated modeling, roughness in the show, simplicity hidden in the exquisite, reflecting the unique national aesthetic.
Sixth, Jinan shadow play

Jinan shadow play, also known as Lanzhou cloth shadow, is an ancient Han traditional art. Seven, Dingtao shadow play
Dingtao shadow play as a kind of Chinese shadow play, the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative project list in 2008, in 2011 was included in the UNESCO list of intangible heritage of mankind.
Dingtao Shadow Play, also known as Tao Paper Talking Book, is an ancient shadow play passed on to Dingtao by immigrants from Shanxi in the Ming Dynasty, and has been active for a long time in Shandong, Henan, Anhui, Hebei and other places, and still preserves the basic production techniques, performance forms, performance programs, original singing books and ancient shadow boxes of the ancient shadow play.
