Why is Tangchi Town closed?
The general landform trend of Tangchi Town is higher in the south and southwest, lower in the east and north, and inclined from southwest to northeast. The southern and western parts of the territory (that is, the area south of the main canal of Shulu) are continuous low mountains and hills, belonging to the edge of Dabie Mountain, with an altitude of 80-598 meters.
Geology:
Tangchi Town is located in the eastern edge of Dabie Mountain, and the Tancheng-Lujiang fault zone passes through it, with complex structure. The mountainous area belongs to the late Jurassic igneous strata in the subsidence area of the front of Dabie Mountain platform anticline.
Neutral crystalline rocks such as syenite and syenite, and argillaceous rocks such as tuff, shale and phyllite are exposed, and the subsidence zone (land area) on the north side is covered with thick loose sediments of Quaternary Upper Pleistocene and Holocene Xia Shu Formation.
