The purpose of offering paper-cutting courses in our activity center is to let students know the profoundness of China folk art, carry forward the excellent artistic traditions of our nation and folk, and enhance students' national pride.

With the help of school leaders and all teachers, my creative manual-paper-cutting teaching has been going on for a month. Through this month's teaching practice, I deeply realized that it is not easy to have a good paper-cutting class. The teaching content of this semester is "symmetrical paper-cutting", starting with simple graphics, so that students can gradually become interested, thus achieving the teaching purpose. I carefully designed the teaching process, from paper selection-origami-painting-paper-cutting-pasting, and completed a work in one class. However, I was disappointed in the first class. None of the students could finish their homework independently. There are many reasons. Children of different grades have different abilities. The most important thing is that they have no painting foundation, and even some students can't even use scissors. In view of these problems, I immediately redesigned the teaching, focusing on painting and paper-cutting techniques, tutoring them one by one and teaching them to use scissors by hand. For those students who give up when they encounter difficulties, I encourage and praise them to help them build their self-confidence. Although I am old and exhausted, I feel very gratified and proud to see the immature works of children born under my patient guidance.

Although there are still many problems in children's works, it requires teachers to strengthen their continuous learning and improvement in art. Strengthen counseling in painting and paper-cutting techniques so that they can be on the same starting line as soon as possible.

Individual guidance in regional activities enables every child to develop and truly embodies the educational concept for every child. In order to cultivate children's paper-cutting skills, it is very important to stimulate their interest. Interest is the best teacher. If children have a strong interest in paper-cutting, they will actively use their senses to see, think, think and do, and actively explore, thus promoting their paper-cutting potential to be well developed. Then how can we stimulate children's interest in paper-cutting?

Because paper-cutting is a traditional folk art in China, modern children usually have little contact with it, so as a teacher, we should first create a good paper-cutting atmosphere for our children. In order to let the children develop better in the activities, feel the rich national flavor and atmosphere, and feel the charm of paper-cutting art, I arranged a typical paper-cutting painting on the classroom wall, with various window grilles attached to the windows, while the flower chains made by the children themselves hung down from the ceiling; Usually, I often lead children to appreciate the works of some famous paper-cut artists in China, feel the rich national flavor and atmosphere, and feel the charm of paper-cut art.

What children usually know best is "window grilles" and all kinds of "hi" words they see when they get married. "Window grilles" are round, triangular, pentagonal and hexagonal; The word "Xi" is round, square and heart-shaped, and they are also particularly interested. So, I mobilized the children to collect these "hi" characters and window grilles and share them with each other. They all asked me to teach them to cut these "hi" words, so I asked them to learn the simplest double happiness cut from me. After the activity, each child held his own work and his face was filled with a happy smile. Since then, they have developed a strong interest in paper-cutting, and often cut all kinds of window grilles in the corners of the region. Although paper-cutting is a spontaneous activity of children, if there is no environment suitable for children's independent activities and self-expression, it is difficult for children to fully develop in the activities. Therefore, it is necessary to create some necessary preparations for children in paper-cutting activities.

In order to fully develop children in activities, necessary material preparation is the basis of cultivating children's creativity. When children cut paper, in addition to scissors and handmade paper, they should also prepare enough auxiliary materials for children, such as rice paper, pigments, glue, brushes and so on. By providing appropriate auxiliary materials, stimulate children's creative interest, enrich the theme plot, and guide children to cut out the highest realm. For example, children choose dyed paper with suitable patterns according to their own needs, and after careful folding, they skillfully use the original pattern colors to cut into paper-cut works with unique patterns and vivid and interesting patterns. Inspire children's creative consciousness and aesthetic taste through pattern design, color configuration and mastery of varieties and techniques. In paper-cutting activities, I often encourage children to collage works that are different from the teacher's examples. For example, when practicing cutting triangles and squares, children should stimulate and enrich their imagination when they can say that triangles and squares can be put together to form a small house.

The new syllabus points out: "Provide opportunities for free expression, encourage children to boldly express their feelings, understanding and imagination in different artistic forms, respect each child's ideas and creations, affirm and accept their unique aesthetic feelings and expressions, and share the happiness they create." When guiding children to cut paper, we should always encourage them to express their inner feelings freely, pay attention to each child's personality and artistic creation, and give them timely praise. Such as: "The child you cut is so cute, can you hold it up for everyone to enjoy?" "The window grilles you cut are really beautiful, and you are really amazing." Because I give every child the joy of being recognized, so that they can gradually form a good consciousness while gaining experience, and make them like paper-cutting activities more and be more creative.

The difficulty of the whole teaching process is gradually increasing, which is very suitable for children's development level. After two semesters of study, the children have mastered some basic methods, such as flanging scissors, left-right symmetrical scissors, flanging scissors and so on. In large classes, children should master the contrast between yin and yang in the process of paper cutting, and pay attention to folding in half, folding more and cutting flat. Whenever they finish a work, they will feel very happy, truly experience the happiness of success, and also add internal drive to the next paper-cutting.

Children's paper-cutting requires children to use their brains to overcome difficulties and cut out various other objects on the basis of mastering a series. In general paper-cutting activities, we mostly focus on children's personal paper-cutting, but in the creative process, five or six children are used as a group to create scissors, and every child is involved in discussion and research before the activity, which is better. For example, before grouping, let the capable children be the group leader, let him invite several children, and then the teacher will participate in their discussion activities, and then appropriately guide them to freely cut out their favorite images in paper-cutting activities to coordinate the layout of the pictures. Although several times ago, children were found to be unruly and scrapbooking works were in a mess, after several times, children also liked to cooperate with their peers. To sum up, it is enough to prove that paper-cutting activities can promote the development of children in all aspects. Through three years of practical research, we believe that paper-cutting art is an art, which helps children to understand our national culture, develop their hands-on operation ability and play a certain role in the development of thinking.

In a word, children's paper-cutting art is a folk art with strong practicability, rich expressive force and the widest popularity. It has a long history, has a profound traditional foundation in China, embodies the most basic aesthetic concept and life interest of the Chinese nation, and has distinctive local artistic characteristics. There are still many problems under discussion and study. Only when we find the combination of paper-cutting art and realistic education theory and practice, and use modern educational methods and means to impart paper-cutting art knowledge and skills can we make paper-cutting education span time and achieve better results.
