Basic Introduction of Gautang Township

Goitang Town is located in the south of Hezhou City, inhabited by Zhuang, Han and Yao ethnic groups, of which more than 3,000 are Yao, distributed in three administrative villages, namely, Daming, Mingmei and Toudui. The town covers an area of 189 square kilometers, with 17 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the total population of the town at the end of 2004 was more than 50,000 people. With favorable natural conditions, Goitang Town produces high-quality rice, horseshoes, lotus root, ginger, plum and other agricultural products. Urban construction, transportation and tourism are developing steadily.
