Detecting engine cylinder pressure (solution)

Operation diagram:

Warm up the engine and stop.

Remove all spark plugs, turn the engine crankshaft with the throttle valve fully open, and measure the compression pressure of all cylinders.

(2) Judgment of cylinder pressure

If the compression pressure is low, inject a small amount of engine oil into the spark plug hole and measure the compression pressure again. If the compression pressure increases, the piston ring or cylinder bore may be worn or damaged. If the compression pressure is still low, the valve may get stuck, the valve seat ring may be damaged, or the cylinder liner may leak.

Maintenance tips:

When checking cylinder pressure, please pay special attention to the following points:

Disconnect all fuel injectors to prevent fuel injection.

Remove the igniter or disconnect the connector of the igniter to prevent sparks.
