Introduction
Neighboring the Summer Palace, Yuanmingyuan, Changchun, and Qichun Gardens is a large-scale royal palace created and operated by the emperors of the Qing Dynasty for more than 150 years.
The main buildings were burned to the ground by the British and French forces in 1860, and today visitors can only wander through the wreckage in search of the glorious empire.
There are numerous small attractions in various parts of the Garden of Qichun, a large collection of small water gardens. Today, it is the main venue for the Yuanmingyuan's annual Lotus Festival.
The Changchun Garden is dominated by a large water feature, the familiar "Great Water Law", which is located here.
The apricot blossoms are in full bloom in the spring, as depicted in an imperial poem, "The blossoms blossom in the depths of spring and are as bright as the sun. The flowers bloom from March to April and are found throughout the park, with the main viewing areas being the Flower God Temple, the Mingchun Gate and the Apricot Spring Pavilion.
