What is leisure fishing?

Leisure fishery is a new type of fishery based on fishery resources and guided by the demand of holiday market. Through the optimal allocation of fishery and tourism resources, leisure, entertainment, catering and other industries will be integrated with fishery production, so as to realize the integration of primary industry and tertiary industry, improve the economic, ecological and social benefits of fishery, and realize the coordinated development of resource development and environmental protection. Leisure fishery is the inevitable result of the innovation and development of fishery industry, as well as the inevitable result of fishery economic and social development.

As far as the development of leisure fishery is concerned, it can be divided into three categories: first, fishing, second, breeding and viewing, and third, catering.

(1) Fishing type

This recreational fishery is mainly transformed from a fishery base that was originally engaged in farming and fishing. It uses existing fishing facilities such as fish ponds, reservoirs and beaches to carry out fishing business by stocking fish species and some finished fish. This base has the characteristics of low input cost, quick effect and easy transformation, and is a common one in existing leisure fishery projects.

(2) cultivation and ornamental type

This recreational fishery is mainly transformed from the original edible fish culture. Engaged in the cultivation of ornamental fish, on the one hand, it can sell finished fish, on the other hand, it can be used for tourism, which is better than a single fishing type.

(3) catering

This kind of leisure fishery is a form to adapt to people's pursuit of healthy, green and fresh aquatic products catering. With the improvement of people's living standard and the change of consumption concept, catering and leisure fishery has a good market prospect.
