The National College Basketball Competition (CUBA) starts from the qualifiers in September this year and ends in the championship finals in September and June the following year, with a span of 1 year.

Grassroots preliminaries:

(2) Regionalization:

Organizers (venues) shall be applied by participating member institutions one year in advance and selected after evaluation by CUBA Organizing Committee. Basically, according to geographical relations, the whole country is divided into four sub-regions: southeast, southwest, northeast and northwest.

Southeast region: Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan;

Southwest China: Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan, Chongqing, Tibet and Macao;

Northwest China: Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia and Henan;

Northeast China: Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Hebei, Shandong and Hong Kong.

Southeast region: from mid-March to late March of the following year;

Southwest China: from late March to early April;

Northwest China: from early April to mid-April;

Northeast China: from mid-April to late April.

Organizer (venue) of the 16th men's competition: organizer of regional competition.

Organizer (venue) of women's 16 Top Competition: organizer of regional competition.
