How to make plastic?

The manufacturing method of plastic is as follows:

Material preparation: fossil fuels, reactors, polymers, etc.

1. In order to make plastics, we must first prepare suitable raw materials, which are usually extracted from fossil fuels such as oil and natural gas.

2. To synthesize polymers, raw materials need to be added into the reactor for chemical reaction. The reactor is usually a large device made of stainless steel, and its interior is kept at high temperature and high pressure. The construction of the reactor also needs to consider the subsequent treatment of the reaction products and how to recover the used catalyst.

3. Adding raw materials into the reactor to start polymerization, which is actually a complex chemical reaction controlled by the catalyst speed. The process of this reaction involves many intermediate steps, such as addition, migration and removal of monomers, and polymers will be formed in constant ion exchange and bonding.

4. In the reaction, the polymer appears in the form of viscous liquid or pure crystal. In order to remove residual catalysts and impurities, polymers can be purified by adsorbents, including powdered activated carbon.

5. The purified polymer can be made into plastic.
