Where does the Shenjia ancestral hall belong?

Shenjiaci is a cultural relic protection unit in Shanghai.

Shenjia Ancestral Temple is located in Chen Dong, Qiujiang Village, Jiangqiao Town during the Republic of China.

The whole building faces south, facing Qiu Jiang, with three bays and three courtyards. There is a balcony in front, a cloister inside, and a gatehouse dozens of meters in front and back. The roof is a traditional hard mountain style with Guanyin gables at both ends, and the building material is the most advanced western reinforced concrete at that time. The overall momentum is spectacular. The tiled and foyer structure of the ancestral hall not only absorbed the style of western architecture at that time, but also inherited the essence of traditional architectural art in China.

According to Jin Rong, director of Geology and Culture Department of Jiading Museum, there are two houses of Yin and Yang in Shenjia Ancestral Hall. Yangyuan is a traditional wooden structure, which was bombed by the Japanese army during the Anti-Japanese War. The existing "Yuan Yin" has no wooden beams because of the concrete technology, which not only saves a lot of wood, but also solves the problem that traditional materials are easy to leak rain and corrode, and achieves a solid and beautiful facade effect, which has been preserved to this day.

Regarding the dilapidated condition of Shenjiaci, Qi Chunming, director of Jiading District Museum, told the reporter that this building was discovered during the third cultural relics survey and was listed as a district-level cultural relics protection unit, and some protection work was carried out one after another.

In 20 10, Shenjia ancestral hall was a district-level cultural relics protection unit, and in 20 14, it was upgraded to a municipal cultural relics protection unit.
