Is there a men's day? What day is today? There is history!
Origin: On August 3rd, 2003, Thin Horse, editor-in-chief of Men's Wear, proposed the first real Men's Day in China.
Its editor-in-chief suggested that in traditional culture, men should "cultivate themselves, keep the family in order, govern the country and level the world" and their responsibilities should be increased layer by layer. Even if a man falls down, he can "only advance but not retreat", and he is a "pillar of the family" and a "strong man with indomitable spirit". They can't cry, they can't cry and there is no room for weakness. In fact, the faster pace of work and life makes modern men exhausted. Giving men a holiday is to let male compatriots release pressure on specific days.
The establishment of Men's Day will liberate men from the body of the strong, give the affected men a space to vent their indulgence, be a real man with flesh and blood, and promote the healthy development of men's body and mind.
As for why it is set on August 3, it is because the date of International Women's Day is March 8, and the date of Men's Day is just the other way around, which is particularly easy to remember.
The initiative to celebrate Men's Day has been supported by many enterprises, including Marlboro, BMW, Land Rover, Shanghai Volkswagen and Durex. More than 50 enterprises promised to give male employees a day off on August 3.
