(I want to change careers) If one person makes a fortune in business, then the enthusiasm of 100 people for farming and fighting will be hit. If we want to make Qin rich and strong, then we must let the people feel at ease in the agricultural war. So he advocates using laws to restrict people from changing careers. This idea has been applied by rulers of past dynasties.

Finally, the rulers of some dynasties discriminated against industrialists, which made farmers unwilling to engage in handicrafts and restricted craftsmen and their families from changing careers by law. Of course, the craftsman behind him is a slave of the government. He and his family are free to attach themselves to others and cannot change careers. There are also some highly skilled craftsmen. In order not to lose their skills, they only pass on their skills to their families, especially their sons.
