Where does mung bean powder come from?

Mung bean powder is produced in Shiqian County, Tongren City, Guizhou Province.

Mung bean powder has a long history, which can be roughly divided into two groups: one in southeast Chongqing and the other in southwest Hubei. It is made from mung beans, rice and soybeans through four traditional processes: soaking, grinding, branding and scalding. Mung bean powder is a specialty of southeast Chongqing and one of the most famous local snacks. Mainly distributed in Qianjiang, Youyang, Xiushan and other marginal areas of Chongqing, it is also a long-standing food for ethnic minorities.
