What are the traditional customs in Yemen?

Women's wearing skirts and trousers is a major feature of Arab Yemeni clothing. All the year round, men, women and children wear skirts. Generally, men will wear wide belts and waist knives around 15 years old. The sword used to be used for self-defense, but now it's just for decoration. Even if you are joking, you can't just dial someone else's waist knife, which is a very taboo thing for them. Yemenis pay attention to etiquette when entertaining guests. The Hashemites, the largest tribe in northern Yemen, are generous and hospitable. Whenever guests come to visit, the village head will queue up with the whole village to welcome them. People beat tambourines, blew horns, sang folk songs and danced with broadswords. Sometimes a gun is fired to pay tribute. The host invited the guests into the living room, and the guests had to take off their shoes and sit on the floor. There is a tall hookah in the center of the living room, and the straw is 10 meters long. Everybody takes turns smoking.
