Mercury thermometer can also be used to measure the temperature in the mouth, but some children are not sensible and don't know that this thermometer can't be bitten in the mouth. If a child accidentally bites the thermometer, mercury will cause great harm when it enters the human body. Electronic thermometers don't have this trouble. Not only will it not cause any harm to children, but the speed of each measurement is very fast, and some naughty and active children can easily measure their body temperature.

However, the electronic thermometer also has its shortcomings, which I believe many parents have experienced. Every time an electronic thermometer is used to take a child's temperature, the results are different after several tests, so that these parents simply don't know which temperature to trust. But in comparison, electronic thermometers are safer, and now mercury thermometers have been gradually replaced by electronic thermometers in many places.
