University history
College was founded in 1965, formerly known as Guangxi Foreign Trade Work-study School. 1978 was named Guangxi Foreign Trade School, located at No.30, Ming Xiu West Road, Nanning. 1984 was renamed Guangxi Foreign Economic and Trade School, 1994 moved to Nanning University East Road 168. In 2002, the college was upgraded to a higher vocational college and renamed Guangxi International Business Vocational and Technical College.

There are 7 departments, 2 teaching departments and 50 majors (including direction), including International Trade Department, Applied Foreign Languages Department, Accounting Department, Marketing Department, Tourism Management Department, Information Engineering Department, Finance Department, Public Basic Teaching Department and Social Science Teaching Department.
