Historical records of Guanzhong folk houses

According to research, the earliest houses in China appeared on this land. After thousands of years' changes, Guanzhong folk houses are unique among Han folk houses with their unique simple and elegant architectural style.

Some scholars say that if the houses in the south of the Yangtze River are exquisite and beautiful, just like Hu's knock, whispering "the wind is waning", then the houses in Guanzhong are more like clapping hands and singing "the river of no return", which is magnificent and magnificent.

The layout and space of the traditional houses of the Han nationality in Guanzhong area are rigorous, mostly traditional quadrangles and three-way courtyards, but the courtyards are multi-layered, patchwork and magnificent. Residential roofs are mostly small tiles, and eaves are decorated with cornices, mostly carved bricks or hollow tiles.

In the past dynasties, the wealthy official businessmen in Guanzhong did not pursue the expensive color and materials when building houses, but mostly decorated them with carvings. All kinds of exquisite carvings on a screen wall, a flower wall, a door and window or even a square brick reflect the owner's life ideal and moral pursuit.
