Where is western Henan? What cities are there in western Henan?
Eastern Henan includes Kaifeng, Shangqiu, Zhoukou, Luohe, Zhumadian (except Biyang accident), Zhengzhou and Dong Er county, and Xuchang (except Yuzhou).
Southwest Henan includes Nanyang, Yexian and Wugang in Pingdingshan and Biyang in Zhumadian.
Traditionally, a large area south of the Yellow River and north of Funiu Mountain-Huaihe River in Henan Province is divided into two major units: eastern Henan and western Henan. Because the Beijing-Guangzhou railway passes through Zhengzhou, Xuchang, Luohe and Zhumadian, especially Zhengzhou, Xuchang and Luohe, it has become a cognitive confusion for some people. They didn't know whether it belonged to eastern or western Henan, so they invented the word Yuzhong. This is not right. Geographically, historically and culturally, central Henan does not exist and can be divided into eastern Henan and western Henan.
In fact, the boundary of Longhai Railway is only a vague statement. In fact, Hulao Pass in Xingyang is the dividing line between western and eastern Henan, the main vein of Funiu Mountain is the dividing line between western and southwestern Henan, and Fangcheng Gorge is the connecting point between eastern, western and southwestern Henan.
