In my hometown, it used to be on the morning of New Year's Eve to worship the deceased ancestors. Now, as long as the weather permits, there are generally no taboos. This situation is not as particular as that of ordinary city people. After all, ancestor worship is also a kind of traditional culture in China, so choosing a good day to sacrifice is also a comfort to your soul!

Whenever there is a festival, we will burn paper in front of our ancestral graves and send money to our deceased relatives. This is a custom in China, and it is also a way for us to express our filial piety to our children and mourn our loved ones. But one thing, not many people know now. When you burn paper money on the graves of relatives and mourn with filial piety, your luck will change! From the Taoist point of view, in the cycle of life, each of us is the host of "soul". The dead lost their bodies, but their "souls" are still there, which is what we often call "ghosts".

After death, the "soul" must wait for a new host, and then it will rotate again. But this waiting process may last for a long time, perhaps more than ten years or decades, or even longer. Until then, they will wait in a state of "ghosts".

Every year in Tomb-Sweeping Day, Ghost Festival and Cold Clothes Festival, we will burn paper money for them, so that they also have the money and time to prepare for the festival and have a happy holiday. We living people will naturally get better luck and do things more smoothly. Because they are rich, they won't always pester us for money. It should be noted that the entangled person is the upper body of Yin, and the more people we live in, the better the luck, and so is Yin. How can we do things smoothly? Besides, it doesn't cost much to buy burnt paper, so why not? If we are lucky, it is also our wish to earn more money.
