How did Tang Priest die? How old did you live? Accurate time! ! !
Master Xuanzang (602-664), a famous monk in the Tang Dynasty, was born in Yanshi, Luoyang. His common name is Chen Yi and his legal name is Xuanzang. He was honored as "Master Sanzang" and later called "Tang Priest". Master Xuanzang is the most famous monk in the history of China. He was not far from Wan Li, but he finally brought the Buddhist scriptures back to Chang 'an 17 from India and translated them. Mr. Lu Xun called him "a man who sacrificed his life for the Dharma" and praised him as "the backbone of China".
When Xuanzang became a monk 13 years old. In the third year of Zhenguan (629), he set out from Chang 'an (now Xi 'an) and arrived at Nalanduo Temple in Tianzhu (now India), where he worshipped a famous monk as a teacher and studied Buddhist scriptures such as The Land of Yogis. In the 19th year of Zhenguan (645), Xuanzang returned to Chang 'an with Mahayana and Hinayana Buddhist classics, and brought back 150 Buddhist relics, 7 Buddha statues and 657 classics. Later, with the support of Emperor Taizong and Emperor Gaozong, monks from major monasteries were convened to form a translation field, and 75 classics and essays were translated, with a total volume of 1335. Literal translation is often used, which is called "new translation" internationally. Together with Kumarajiva and Zhen Zhen, they are called "the three major Buddhist translators in China". Xuanzang died in Yuhua Temple in Tongchuan and was buried in Bailuyuan, Chang 'an.

Buddhist classics "Mahaprajna Paramita Sutra" and "Cheng Wei's Theory of Knowing Only the Sect" are the two most important Buddhist classics translated by Master Xuanzang in Yuhua Temple. While translating these two masterpieces, Xuanzang also interspersed nine Confucian classics such as Amitabha Wisdom. After October of the third year of senior high school (663), Master Xuanzang, who was exhausted physically and mentally, also translated three classics intermittently: Wu Wu Lun, Bodhisattva Xing, Mo Zhao Shen Cheng Samadha and Five Curses. In the first year of Emperor Gaozong Linde (664), Master Xuanzang died in Yuhua Temple at midnight on the fifth day of the second lunar month.
