Judging from this passage, he did not recognize Roche as his wife, and even felt disgusted. In fact, just not acknowledging this marriage does not mean that he hates Roche. What he hates is arranged marriage in the old society.

Roche, formerly known as Luo Yigu, lives in front of a building near Liu Jia, Qidu, Xiangtan County, only 10 km away from home, which can be said to be very close.

Luo yigu's name is Luo (also known as Luo) Luo Yi's mother is the daughter of Shaoshanchong and Mao. So, at that time and Luo Yigu were able to combine, which was related to Luo Yigu's mother Shi Mao.

On seniority, and Luo Yigu are cousins (distant). It is customary to advocate marriage between cousins, because it can increase kinship.

From this perspective, both Luo of the Luo family and Mao Shunsheng of the Mao family attach importance to this marriage between cousins.

But if it is only because of geographical location and cousin relationship, it may not be able to promote this marriage.

Mao Shunsheng is very clever and good at management. 17 years old, Mao Shun became the pillar of the Mao family. At that time, the Maos had only six or seven acres of land. His "motto of life" is: food is inexhaustible, and people are always poor if they don't count.

Six or seven acres of land can produce a lot of food. At the end of each year, Mao Shunsheng always processes the rice saved in one year into white rice and sells it in the nearby market. Over the years, I have saved a lot of money by selling rice.

Mao Shi has cultivated land 15 mu, with an annual income of 60 tons. Apart from the 35 loads needed for family rations, there are 25 loads left. For Shaoshanchong at that time, it was already very rich.

Mao Shunsheng is not satisfied with this. He sells the remaining 25 tons of grain every year and then enters the field. Later, he also sold pigs and cattle, and his family property became bigger and bigger.

By 1903, the farmland at home has reached 22 mu, the annual rice harvest is 80 tons, and the assets have increased to two or three thousand yuan. Such assets were abundant at that time.

1905, Mao Shunsheng added another son-Qin and Mao family. They are the mothers of Mao Shunsheng, Min, Qin Hewen.

Although Mao Shunsheng's family was rich at that time, Mao Shunsheng was very stingy. Unwilling to hire people, a large part of the burden at home falls on the shoulders of mother Wen.

Wen, who is nearly 40 years old, has to take care of not only the newly born Qin, but also five families. The extent of her work is obvious. Under such circumstances, the Mao family urgently needed to solve the labor problem, and Mao Shunsheng naturally thought of getting married.

What happened to Luo Jia at that time?

Luo Yigu's Luo Helou has five sons and five daughters, among whom Luo Yigu is the eldest daughter (the eldest, with a brother on it). Although Luo Jia is not as rich as his family, he is a rich family in the local area.

He is rebellious in his bones, although he can complete the wedding process with Aunt Luo according to the requirements of the rules. However, this does not mean that you can accept this marriage like Mao Shunsheng.

Sure enough, after marriage, she refused to live with Aunt Luo.

1906, that is, one year before marriage, because he was dissatisfied with the four books and five classics taught by private schools, he dropped out of school and taught himself at home. In my spare time, I help with farming. Sometimes, I help with the accounts.

After marriage, they worked in the fields during the day and helped settle accounts at night. When I went back to sleep, it was very late. Although I live under the same roof as Aunt Luo, I swear I will never touch her again.

What does Aunt Luo think?

When she got married, she was 18 years old, which is the most beautiful and youthful age for a girl. In addition, the Luo family is well-off, and Luo Yigu's knowledge and understanding are all cultivated.

Therefore, after Luo Yigu married the Mao family, she did not complain about the cold reception. Instead, she became Wen's good helper, running the house.

At home, Luo Yigu helps her mother-in-law with housework and takes care of her husband. In the first year of marriage, Luo Yigu often sent tea and rice to the fields for dropouts. When the clothes are dirty, Aunt Luo will take the initiative to help her clean them.

Aunt Luo at that time was trying her best to do what a wife should do. 15 years old is not opposed to Luo Yigu, but arranged marriage.

In the second year of marriage, I thought about "running away from home".

1909, Mao Shunsheng was worried about retaliation for shaking off his ancestor Mao Hongbin and wanted to send him to a rice shop in Xiangtan as an apprentice. After coming back from school, he can help Mao Shunsheng do housework.

Ambitious, he doesn't want to take those business courses. He wants to go to Dongshan Primary School, a new school in Xiangxiang. To this end, we had another big fight.

Fortunately, Mao Shunsheng reluctantly agreed to go out to study because of the intercession of his mother, neighbors and former teachers.

So the marriage with Aunt Luo only lasted for one year. After that, because I went out to study, I only got together briefly during the winter and summer vacations every year. Sometimes, I don't even go home.

19 10 February 1 1, Luo Yigu got a serious illness and died soon, and was buried in the south bank of Shaoshan. It was just three years from marriage to Mao's death.

During 1925, when I went back to my hometown to engage in agricultural activities, I often went to Yanglin near Roy Valley's home. During this period, I had close contacts with Luo and Luo's nephew Luo Shiquan of Luo Yigu.

Under this influence, Luo Shiquan joined, and Luo became an active member of the local farmers' association. After the outbreak of "Ma Ri incident", the two were implicated, Luo Jia was robbed and Luo Shiquan was arrested.

Married with a son, nearly 50 years old, fled to Dongting Lake to avoid capture. The rest of the Luo family paid a large sum of money together to bail Luo Shiquan out of prison. After he was released from prison, Luo Shiquan became a teacher.

After the war broke out, Luo and Luo Shiquan returned to their hometown Shaoshan. However, because of the long-distance bumps and the age. Shortly after returning to China, Luo died at the age of 72.

Although Luo passed away, he did not forget him. Later, I wrote a letter to my hometown, which read: the words of the old man in Luohe Building. Although the letter was sent to Shaoshan Luojia, Teacher Luo is gone.

In the letter, I want to express my greetings to Mr. Luo's family and tell him that I hope Mr. Luo will go for a walk if his health permits.

Unfortunately, the mountain is blocked, and I don't know that Teacher Luo has passed away.

Later, Luo Shiquan wrote a reply to Luo. The letter explained the news of Mr. Luo's death and said hello. After receiving the letter, I immediately wrote a reply to Luo Shiquan:

Thank you for your letter. I miss you very much. Thank you very much.

Although there are only a few words 18, it doesn't mean that you are indifferent to them. 1950, Shaoshan suffered a severe famine and was busy with work. The eldest son Mao was asked to go back to his hometown instead of visiting relatives.

Before Mao Anying set out, Luo Shiquan was one of the few people who were told to visit. After Mao returned to Shaoshan, he specially invited Luo Shiquan to Shi Mao Gongci for details. (Mao lived in the temple at that time)

After meeting, Mao called Luo Shiquan his uncle according to Shaoshan's practice. At that time, Luo Shiquan was 6 1 year-old, old and sick, and made a living by teaching in primary schools. But the primary school salary is low, the family has a large population, and life is very difficult.

Entrusted by Mao, he presented Luo Shiquan with velvet antler, tea and 200,000 ancient coins, and conveyed his greetings. However, this money can only solve Luo Shiquan's urgent needs, but it can't change his poor livelihood.

After returning home, Mao reported the situation of Luo Shiquan to An Ying. After hearing this, he immediately set aside 3 million yuan of ancient coins from the manuscript fee and entrusted them to Luo Jia.

Among Luo's five daughters, Aunt Luo is the eldest. There should be four sisters below, but two of them died young. The remaining two sisters, one married Huang of Jinshiguan Town in Xiangxiang, and the other married the village of Shaoshan Village.

At that time, Luo Yigu's two sisters had passed away, but they still regarded Huang and Mao as their relatives.

What do the rest of the Mao family think of Luo Yigu?
