What day is April 4th?

April 4th is Tomb-Sweeping Day, International Mine Action Day (202 1).

Tomb-Sweeping Day, also known as outing festival, outing festival, March festival, ancestor worship festival, etc. It was celebrated at the turn of mid-spring and late spring. Tomb-Sweeping Day originated from the ancestral belief and the custom of worshipping spring in ancient times, which has both natural and humanistic connotations. It is both a natural solar term and a traditional festival. Grave-sweeping and outing are the two major themes of Tomb-Sweeping Day etiquette and customs, and these two traditional themes have been passed down from ancient times to the present in China.

April 4th every year is the International Day of Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action.

At present, mines in at least 68 affected countries make millions of men, women and children live in fear of losing their lives, limbs or livelihoods, while restricting them from working, going to school, grazing or going to markets freely and safely. Every year, the world clears more than 65,438+000 square kilometers of minefields through mine action programs, and teaches more than 7 million people how to avoid the dangers of minefields. These efforts have helped to reduce the casualty rate. However, only zero casualties is an acceptable casualty rate.
