1, downhill auxiliary control system HDC is an additional function related to driving comfort in ESP system. In the process of downhill, using HDC function, ESP can actively apply braking force without the driver stepping on the brakes to achieve the purpose of slow downhill.

2. Press the button to activate HDC function. When driving downhill, the vehicle will travel at a minimum speed of 8km/h and keep this speed unchanged.

In addition, the driver can adjust the speed by stepping on the accelerator pedal or brake pedal. If the current speed when the driver releases the pedal is between 8km/h and 35km/h, the HDC function will be triggered again to keep the current speed of the vehicle and continue downhill.

4. When the vehicle speed exceeds 60km/h, HDC will automatically turn off.

5. When HDC control is effective, ABS will automatically intervene if the wheels slip excessively.

6. Tip:

● When the downhill auxiliary control system fails, the HDC function is turned off, and "Please check HDC" is displayed on the instrument display screen. At this point, the HDC system will not work normally. Operators must not use this system to force down steep slopes, or use low-grade and manual braking methods to achieve the same goal. They should repair the test site as soon as possible.

● In some special cases, due to the high braking temperature, some situations may occur in the HDC system. For example, when the ambient temperature is high and the system is used for a long time, the temperature of the braking system will continue to rise due to friction. When reaching a certain limit, the HDC function will enter the thermal protection mode: the function will be activated, but it will not enter the working state, the HDC function will temporarily lose its function, and the vehicle will show signs of acceleration. When the temperature of the braking system drops to the effective working temperature, the HDC system will work again.

● Operators should never use this system to forcibly descend steep slopes, or use low gear and manual braking to achieve the same goal.
