Bailu, named after the condensation of water vapor into dew, is the first 15 of the 24 solar terms. The arrival of the Millennium means that the real autumn has come. It means that if it rains on the day of the Millennium, it will be colder in the following period, and "one Yongheng Zhang's skin" means that more and more clothes are worn every day.

It means that in this solar term, due to the large temperature difference, the water vapor on the ground will condense into dew when it is cold. The ancients used four seasons and five shapes, in which autumn belongs to gold and gold is white, so white is used to describe autumn dew, hence the name "White Dew".

"There was rain a thousand years ago, and there were ghosts after a thousand years", which means that the rain before a thousand years was needed by crops, so it was true rain. After a thousand years, it won't rain again. Too much rain will even affect the growth of crops, so the old people compare the rain after a thousand years to a ghost who doesn't do good and harm people.

As for the explanation of "rain is before the white dew, ghosts are after the white dew", that's all, and it applies to most areas. After all, this is a summary of the wisdom of our ancestors. However, in some places, when the Millennium solar term comes, it is still too early for crops to mature, so the rainy weather afterwards is beneficial to crops.
