The geographical environment of Anshun

Anshun is located between east longitude10513 ′ ~10634 ′ and north latitude 25 21′ ~ 26 38 ′, which is the watershed between Wujiang river basin of the Yangtze River and Beipanjiang river basin of the Pearl River system, and is a typical karst landform concentration area in the world. It is adjacent to Guiyang, the provincial capital, and Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in the east, Liupanshui City in the west, Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in southwest Guizhou in the south and Bijie City in the north. It is an important polar city in the central Guizhou Economic Zone.

It belongs to a typical humid subtropical monsoon climate on the plateau, with abundant rainfall, annual average rainfall of 65438±0.360mm, annual average temperature of 65,438 0.4℃, historical maximum temperature of 34.3 degrees, minimum temperature of -7.6 degrees, annual average relative humidity of 80%, annual average wind speed of 2.4m/s, and mild and pleasant climate. The main features of Anshun climate are cool, moist, fresh and low solar radiation.

The average temperature in Anshun is above 10℃ for nine months in a year. The period when the daily maximum temperature is ≥ 35.0℃ is called summer heat period, and there is no record of high temperature above 35℃ in Anshun.

The average sunshine in Anshun in summer is only 4-5 hours a day, while in Lushan, Harbin and Chengde, it is about 7 hours. Although Anshun is located in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, it is raining continuously, which effectively blocks the harm of solar radiation and ultraviolet rays to human body, so Anshun people look whiter than residents in other plateau areas (such as Kunming). There are two climatic characteristics in Anshun in summer: one is valley wind and summer monsoon, and the other is cloudy and rainy.

Anshun is located on the Miao Ling Ridge of Guizhou Plateau, with obvious valley wind and southwest monsoon from the Indian Ocean. There are many monsoons in summer, and there is no sultry feeling. The average wind speed in summer is 2.5 ~ 3.0m/s.
