Where is Cape Verde?

Cape Verde is located on the Cape Verde Islands in the North Atlantic Ocean, more than 500 kilometers east of Cape Verde (in Senegal), the westernmost tip of the African continent. It is a transportation hub between Europe, South America and South Africa, including islands 15 such as San Antu, San Nicolas, Sal, boavista, Fogo and Santiago, and is divided into two groups: windward islands in the north and leeward islands in the south.

Cape Verde is a volcanic archipelago. Except for the three islands in the east, such as Saar, which are low and flat, the other islands are rugged. Fugu volcano (active volcano) on Fugu Island is 2829 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in China. The annual rainfall is only 100-300mm. There are many grasslands in the highlands and fertile land in the valleys.

Cape Verde has a tropical and dry climate, and the dry and hot northeast trade winds prevail all the year round, with an average annual temperature of 20℃-27℃. Controlled by subtropical high and trade winds all the year round, the canary cold current on the west coast cools and dehumidifies, forming a tropical desert climate. The highest temperature in Cape Verde is 3 1℃, and the lowest temperature is 20℃.
