Kia Chi Run Throttle Sensor Location
2. Throttle position sensor, function: the throttle opening is converted into an electrical signal for output, so that the microcomputer can control the fuel injection quantity. Installation position: on the throttle body.
3. Oxygen sensor, function: detect the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas and control the air-fuel ratio. Installation location: inside the exhaust pipe
4. Water temperature sensor, function: detect the temperature of coolant and correct the air-fuel ratio. Installation position: cooling water jacket
5. Knock sensor, function: to detect whether the engine has deflagration. Installation position: on the cylinder block
6. Crankshaft position sensor for ignition timing control. Installation location: front end of crankshaft, front end of camshaft and distributor. Different models have different installation positions.
7. Intake air temperature and pressure sensor. Function: detect intake air temperature and pressure. Installation position: behind the throttle body.
Extended data
A characteristic of the development of automobile technology is that more and more parts are controlled electronically. According to the function of the sensor, it can be divided into sensors that measure temperature, pressure, flow, position, gas concentration, speed, brightness, humidity and distance, and they all perform their duties. Once a sensor fails, the corresponding equipment will not work normally or even work. Therefore, the role of sensors in automobiles is very important.
In the past, automobile sensors were only used in engines, but they have been extended to chassis, body, lighting and electrical systems. More than 100 sensors are used in these systems. In a wide variety of sensors, the common ones are:
1. Intake pressure sensor: it reflects the change of absolute pressure in the intake manifold and provides a reference signal for ECU (Engine Electronic Control Unit) to calculate the fuel injection duration;
2. Air flow meter: measures the amount of air inhaled by the engine and provides it to ECU as a reference signal for fuel injection time;
3. Throttle position sensor: measure the throttle opening and provide it to ECU as a reference signal for fuel cut-off, air-fuel ratio control and ignition advance angle correction;
4. Crankshaft position sensor: detects the rotating speed of crankshaft and engine and provides it to ECU as a reference signal to determine ignition timing and working sequence;
5. Oxygen sensor: detect the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas and provide it to ECU as a reference signal to control the air-fuel ratio near the optimal value (theoretical value);
6. Air temperature sensor: detects the intake air temperature and provides it to ECU as the basis for calculating air density.
7. Coolant temperature sensor: detects the temperature of coolant and provides engine temperature information to ECU;
8. Knock sensor: installed on the cylinder block to detect the knock of the engine and provide it to ECU to adjust the ignition advance angle according to the signal.
These sensors are mainly used in transmission, steering gear, suspension and ABS.
Transmission: there are speed sensors, temperature sensors, shaft speed sensors, pressure sensors, etc. The steering device includes angle sensor, torque sensor and hydraulic sensor.
Suspension: speed sensor, acceleration sensor, body height sensor, roll angle sensor, angle sensor, etc.
