Is there a year in Tomb-Sweeping Day on April 3rd?
Tomb-Sweeping Day is one of the 24 solar terms. According to the solar calendar, every year between April 4th and 6th. Depending on the position of the sun, the rotation of the earth is biased, so it is different every year, but the difference is only one or two days. Every year is usually on April 5, sometimes on April 4 or April 6.
As a traditional solar term in China, Tomb-Sweeping Day has a solar term every15th day according to the annual vernal equinox, so Tomb-Sweeping Day is between April 4th and 6th in the solar calendar, mostly on the 5th. But it is not fixed on April 5 of the solar calendar, nor is it determined by the lunar calendar.
The vernal equinox changes with the rotation of the earth. The earth's rotation in a day is not 24 hours, but 23 hours and 56 minutes, which will decrease by one day every four years, thus affecting the time of solar terms. According to this rule, Tomb-Sweeping Day in 2008 and 2009 appeared on April 4, 2004 and 2000, and Tomb-Sweeping Day was in 1939 on April 6.
