How to adjust the valve clearance of Accord?

1. Turn the crankshaft so that the piston of 1 cylinder is at the top dead center (TDC), the "UP" mark on the camshaft sprocket should be at the top, and the TDC groove on the camshaft sprocket should be aligned with the upper edge of the cylinder head.

2. Insert the feeler gauge between the adjusting screw on 1 cylinder and the end of the valve tappet, and slide it back and forth, you can feel a slight delay, otherwise, adjust 1 cylinder.

3. Loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusting screw until the resistance of the feeler gauge is appropriate. Then, use a screwdriver to position the adjustment screw. At the same time, tighten the lock nut with a wrench and recheck the clearance.

4. Rotate the crankshaft clockwise, and then align the TDC slot mark of the piston of cylinder 3 on the camshaft sprocket with the top edge of the cylinder head to adjust cylinder 3.

5. Rotate the crankshaft clockwise, and then align the TDC slot mark of the 2-cylinder piston on the camshaft sprocket with the upper edge of the cylinder head to adjust the 2-cylinder and 4-cylinder. (Operation completed)
