Whales made of meat can dive 1000 meters. Why can a submarine dive 100 meters be squashed?

When we go to the aquarium, someone will explain to us that the blue whale is the largest known animal in the world. It has a lung weighing ten tons and can hold tens of thousands of liters of air. But the diving ability of the blue whale is not the strongest, and the sperm whale smaller than it can dive to a depth of 3000 meters to prey on the king squid. The average dive depth of a nuclear submarine is only a few hundred meters. The record former Soviet nuclear submarine "Youth Alliance" has reached its limit after reaching 1200m, because whales can adjust themselves but our submarines can't.

Whales are animals that have evolved from nature. Their lungs have adapted to the deep sea environment. Most cetaceans can only swim in water 500 meters deep, but sperm whales can dive in water 2000 meters deep. If a sperm whale wants to sink to the bottom of the sea, it must first inhale some seawater to gain weight, reduce its vital capacity, increase its internal pressure, and maintain the balance between internal and external pressure, so that its body will not be crushed by the deep sea. However, the whale's vital capacity is limited, so it is impossible to move in the deep sea for a long time. It moves in the deep sea for at least 10 minutes, and then floats to the surface to breathe.

We all know that submarine is a kind of weapon and equipment, and it is also manned. If people want to live, work and even fight normally in it, they must keep the environment inside the submarine the same as that on land. Not only people, but also equipment and machines need to operate normally within the standard atmospheric pressure, which leads to the pressure inside the ship being much lower than that outside the ship. In other words, the submarine's shell strongly supports the pressure of seawater to prevent the hull from being crushed.

Our current submarine level can't reach the depth of1000 m. We can see the improvement direction of future submarines from whales. If you want to increase the pressure inside the submarine, you can't directly inject water into the submarine, so the submarine also needs more advanced technology and divers need to be equipped with corresponding equipment.
