How was soap invented?

Soap originated in ancient Egypt. Many years ago, King Khufu of Egypt gave a banquet to entertain guests. Due to the large number of guests, the chef made a mistake in his busy work and accidentally knocked over a basin full of oil and spilled it all over the floor. The chef came to help clean up. They throw away the greasy soot outside the kitchen with their hands, and then wash their hands with water. At this time, they accidentally found that their hands were particularly clean. When Khufu knew it, he ordered his people to make charcoal cakes stained with oil according to the chef's method and put them in the washing place for guests to use. In fact, this is the prototype of soap.

In 70 AD, Pliny, a scholar of the Roman Empire, successfully made block soap from sheep oil and plant ash for the first time. From then on, Rome began to use soap. This technology was later spread to Britain, and Queen Elizabeth I ordered the construction of the factory. The world's earliest large-scale soap factory was built in Bristol, England. Later, Lubran, a French chemist, made caustic soda with soap instead of electrolytic salt through his own experiments. The cost is much lower than the British soap made of boiled sheep oil mixed with caustic soda and chalk. Since then, soap has gradually been used by the people and entered thousands of households.
