What is the relationship between the 24 solar terms and the revolution of the earth?

The lunar calendar in China is a combination of yin and yang, with the moon's profit and loss cycle as the calculation unit and the earth's revolution as one year. In order to fully reflect the changes of seasons and climate, ancient astronomers determined the vernal equinox, summer solstice, autumn equinox and winter solstice by measuring the shadow of the sun in the Western Zhou Dynasty and the Spring and Autumn Period, and divided the whole year into twenty-four equal parts, each with a name.

They are: beginning of spring, Rain, Surprise, Spring Equinox, Qingming, Grain Rain, Changxia, Xiaoman, Mangzhong, Summer Solstice, Slight Summer, Great Summer, beginning of autumn, Chu Summer, Bailu, Autumn Equinox, Cold Dew, First Frost, beginning of winter, Light Snow, Heavy Snow, Winter Solstice, Slight Cold and Severe Cold. These 24 solar terms are in 12 months, and the interval between the two solar terms is about half a month. The sun runs 360 degrees along the ecliptic, and every 15 degrees corresponds to a twenty-four solar terms.
