Zhang Ren (? -2 13), a native of Shu County, Yizhou (now Chengdu, Sichuan Province), was a subordinate of Liu Zhang, an animal husbandry in Yizhou at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. In 2 13 AD (the 18th year of Jian 'an), in Liu Bei's war against Liu Zhang, Zhang Ren led an army to crusade against Liu Bei and was defeated and killed.

Hearing of Zhang Ren's bravery, Liu Bei ordered the sergeant to persuade Zhang Ren to surrender. Zhang Ren replied sharply: "I will not serve the two masters after all." So he was killed, and Liu Bei sighed for it.
