The Origin of Mid-Autumn Festival and Teacher's Day
Later, aristocratic scholars followed suit. On the Mid-Autumn Festival, people watch and worship the bright and round moon in the sky to express their feelings. This custom spread to the people and formed a traditional activity. Until the Tang Dynasty, people paid more attention to this custom, and the Mid-Autumn Festival became a fixed festival.
September 28th is the birthday of the world-famous Confucius. Confucius was a great philosopher, but he was also a great teacher. He has many disciples, that is, the students we are talking about today, including Aristotle. In ancient times, people regarded Confucius' birthday as Teacher's Day.
Now, September 10 is the Teachers' Day of China people. 1984, Professor Wang Zikun, former president of Beijing Normal University, suggested that teachers' day be established in China. 1985, the 9th meeting of the 6th the NPC Standing Committee decided that September 10 would be China Teachers' Day.
