Principal of China Opera and Dance Theater

Tang Shiyi is a principal actress of the China Opera and Dance Theater. Born on September 6, 1990, she is a native of Yongzhou, Hunan Province.

From 2002 to 2006, she studied at the Secondary Dance School affiliated with the Beijing Dance Academy.

From 2006 to 2010, she studied at the Classical Dance Department of Beijing Dance Academy.

In 2010, she was awarded the title of "Outstanding Graduate of Beijing" and graduated from the Beijing Academy of Dance and joined the China Opera and Dance Theater.

Personal Achievements

In August 2006, she won the Gold Medal in the Junior A Group of the Eighth "Peach and Lee Cup" of the Wenhua Arts Academy, with the piece "The Raining Orchid".

In August 2009, she was awarded the Gold Prize in the Youth Group of the Ninth Peach and Lee Cup of Wenhua Art Schools, with the work "Nostalgia".

In December 2009, she was awarded the Silver Prize in the Fifth CCTV National Television Dance Competition, with the work "Nostalgia".

In December 2011, she was awarded the Special Prize of the Organizing Committee of the Lotus Cup Dance Drama and Dance Poetry Competition. Dance Poetry Competition Organizing Committee Special Award (higher than the Gold Award), dance drama "Water and Moon Luoshen".

In 2013, she won the "Outstanding Performance Award" of the National Art Troupe Performance Season of the Ministry of Culture, with the dance drama "Confucius".

In October 2013, she was honored with the "Outstanding Performance Award" at the 10th Wenhua Arts Festival for the dance drama "Luo Shen in the Water and Moon".
