1. The Analects

The Analects is one of the classic works of Confucianism, compiled by the disciples of Confucius and his re-disciples. It is mainly written in the style of discourse and dialogues, recording the words and deeds of Confucius and his disciples, and focusing on his political ideas, ethical thoughts, moral concepts and educational principles.

2. Zhouyi

Zhouyi, or the Book of Changes, is one of the traditional classics, which is said to have been written by Ji Chang, the king of Zhou, and includes two parts, the Jing and the Biography. It has had a profound impact on China's politics, economy, culture and other fields for thousands of years.

3. Mencius

The Mencius is one of the Chinese Confucian canonical texts, which records the thoughts and political strategies of Mencius, a thinker of the Warring States period, and was recorded and organized by Mencius and his disciples.

4. Zhongyong (中庸)

The Zhongyong (中庸) is a prose treatise on the cultivation of human nature in Confucianism, originally the thirty-first book of the Book of Rites (礼记), which is rumored to have been written by Zi Si (子思), and is a classic treatise on the doctrines of Confucianism.
