The difference between new media art and media art

Digital media art is a comprehensive discipline spanning natural science, social science and humanities, which embodies the concept of "science, art and humanities". The numbers in this term reflect its scientific and technical basis. Media emphasis is based on the media industry, while art definition is aimed at the application fields such as artistic creation and artistic design of digital products.

New media art is different from ready-made art, installation art, body art, earth art and other modern arts. New media art is a new art discipline with optical media and electronic media as the basic language, digital technology as the core, also known as digital art, and its main means of expression is CG (computer graphics).
